Jalen Duren could be facing a suspension from the NBA this week.
The Detroit Pistons star was involved in an on-court fight as the Pistons worked on snapping the Charlotte Hornets' nine-game winning streak. The heated battle included four ejections, and Duren was part of the group heading back to the locker room early.
The NBA has yet to announce a punishment decision on the players involved, leaving Duren waiting an additional day to find out when he can play again.
As the decision looms, one of the biggest questions is whether Duren would be able to participate in the All-Star game this weekend or not.
The NBA Insider Chris Haynes reported an update on the situation on Wednesday morning, claiming that Duren will be a part of the action with or without a suspension.
Missing out on the All-Star game would've been a major blow for Duren, who cracked the roster for the first time in his career in 2025-2026.
Duren was initially reported to be included in the Dunk Contest as well, but that turned out to be false, as the NBA excluded Duren from the announcement of the participants.
Last season, Duren had a slow start to his third campaign with the Pistons, but he picked up his play and established himself as one of the better centers in the NBA. Finding luck in the health department, he finished the year with averages of 11.8 points and 10.4 rebounds in 78 games.
This year, Duren is doing much better on the offensive end, putting up a career-high 17.7 points per game, while maintaining his double-double average with 10.4 rebounds per game. He's been a major contributor to a team that's currently ranked first in the Eastern Conference.
Heading into the NBA All-Star break, the Pistons are sitting up top with a 39-13 record, holding a 5.5-game lead over the Boston Celtics. They are on pace to crack a spot in the playoffs for the second season in a row.
