Liam Rosenior was only taking his post-Leeds press conference last night, today he was back in the press room to take his pre-Hull presser.
As always, things got underway with some team news, which is always the most interesting things in these press conferences. The main question marks are over the first choice full backs. Marc Cucurella was taken off at half time last night with a hamstring problem, while Reece James has missed our last three games with a knock and then illness.

“Yeah, for Marc, it’s too early to know. Obviously, he’s definitely out for the game against Hull. We’re just doing our scans and assessments on him and hopefully he’s not too long,” Rosenior said of his Spanish full back.
“Reece trained modified, still under the weather, and we’ll make a decision on Reece tomorrow, but it’s good news that he’s back on the training pitch. In terms of injury, he’s absolutely fine, but he’s had a really bad bug and hopefully he’s recovered from that.”
The manager went on to insist that he wasn’t going to weaken his team to face Hull on Friday, but we can’t see any reason to risk James even if he’s at all not 100%. There are some huge games coming up, and Malo Gusto is more than capable of filling in.
In other news…
Cole Palmer’s late miss was a shocker – Chelsea could have had the three points they deserved had he put it away. But as you’d expect, Liam Rosenior was hardly going to lay into his star attacker, who had more than done his part in the game.
Nicolas Jackson looks like he will be left out of Bayern Munich’s squad for tonight’s cup game against RB Leipzig. And potentially more squad going forward, now they have so many attacking options.
