South Carolina and Clemson football teams will be well-represented at the upcomig NFL Draft Combine in Indianapolis.
Thirteen South Carolina and Clemson are among the 319 players invited the event, which will be Feb. 23-March 2. The complete list of combine invitees were released Wednesday.
Four Gamecock players were invited to the event: running back Rahsul Faison, defensive lineman Nick Barrett and defensive backs Brandon Cisse and Jalon Kilgore.
Clemson players invited are quarterback Cade Klubnik, running back Adam Randall, receiver Antonio Williams, offensive lineman Blake Miller, defensive linemen DeMonte Capehart, TJ Parker and Peter Woods, linebacker Wade Woodaz and defensive back Avieon Terrell.
Among the invitees, there is a chance several could go in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft. ESPN’s Mel Kiper has Woods going to the Los Angeles Chargers (22nd pick), Terrell to the Philadelphia Eagles (23rd pick) and Cisse (32nd pick) to the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks.
If Cisse goes in the first round, he would be the first Gamecock defensive player to go in the first round since Jaycee Horn went to the Carolina Panthers in the 2021 NFL Draft.
“The top cornerback on the board at this point is Cisse, who plays with good anticipation and speed to the football,” Kiper wrote. “He had only one interception across the past two seasons, but he did have 12 pass breakups over that time, so the ball skills are there. Cisse would be a good fit under coach Mike Macdonald.”
Clemson’s last first-round pick was Nate Wiggins, who went to the Baltimore Ravens in the 2024 NFL Draft.
