Canadian prospects Akheem Mesidor, Logan Taylor invited to 2026 NFL Combine

Two Canadian players have received invitations to attend the 2026 NFL Combine: defensive lineman Akheem Mesidor and offensive lineman Logan Taylor.

Mesidor had a brilliant season with the Miami Hurricanes in 2025, earning a first-team All-ACC selection and helping the team reach the CFP National Championship Game. The native of Ottawa, Ont. recorded 63 total tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss, 12.5 sacks, and four forced fumbles over 15 games.

The six-foot-three, 265-pound defender played six total collegiate seasons, previously earning two All-Big 12 selections with the West Virginia Mountaineers. Over 65 collegiate games, Mesidor made 208 total tackles, 52.5 tackles for loss, 35.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, and four pass knockdowns.

ESPN recently projected Mesidor as the No. 19 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Taylor was named second-team All-ACC at Boston College in 2025, making eight starts at right guard, three starts at left tackle, and one start at right tackle. The native of Lunenburg, N.S. spent the last three seasons of his collegiate career with the Eagles, earning two All-ACC honourable mentions and making 36 total starts.

The six-foot-seven, 312-pound blocker started his collegiate career at the University of Virginia, making 10 starts in 2022. He allowed four sacks over 437 pass-blocking snaps as a redshirt freshman, per Pro Football Focus.

Mesidor and Taylor are the two top prospects on the official 2026 CFL Draft rankings.

319 prospects have been invited to attend the 2026 NFL Combine, which is scheduled to take place in Indianapolis, Ind. from February 23 to March 2.

Two Canadian players received invitations to the 2025 NFL Combine, both of whom ended up being selected in the 2025 NFL Draft. Wide receiver Elic Ayomanor was a fourth-round pick to the Tennessee Titans, while quarterback Kurtis Rourke was a seventh-round pick to the San Francisco 49ers.
