Syracuse, N.Y. — Former Syracuse punter Jack Stonehouse has been [invited](https://go.skimresources.com?id=126006X1587360&xs=1&xcust=jedmonds%7C&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.nfl.com%2Fnews%2Fnfl-combine-full-list-of-draft-prospects-invited-to-2026-scouting-event&product_category=Sporting+Goods%3EAthletics%3EAmerican+Football) to the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine.
Stonehouse, a First Team All-ACC selection last season, was the only member of the Orange to be invited to Indianapolis. Former Orange tight end Dan Villari, who had no catches in the Senior Bowl, was not one of the 319 prospects invited.
Stonehouse was fifth in the country last season in yards per punt at 47.12. He made the watchlist for the Ray Guy Award, which goes to the best punter in the country.
Syracuse had four NFL draft picks last year and three more made NFL rosters. This year, Stonehouse projects to be the favorite on Syracuse’s roster to make it to the NFL.
Stonehouse was an All-ACC selection in 2023 and an Honorable Mention in 2024 after spending his first two seasons at Missouri. He now looks to add to the Stonehouse legacy in the NFL.
Stonehouse’s father, John, punted for the New York Giants after a successful collegiate career at Southern California. Stonehouse’s cousin, Ryan, spent three years with the Tennessee Titans and a year on the Miami Dolphins’ practice squad.
Syracuse had three different special teams coordinators during Stonehouse’s career. He still left the school as one of the best punters in the nation.
The 2026 NFL Scouting Combine will take place from Feb. 22-Mar. 2. Kicking workouts are set to occur on Feb. 25.
