Former Blues star Jason Cundy has opened up and claimed that he feels Nicolas Jackson will be one of the players that Chelsea will allow to leave in the summer transfer window, as there could be a massive shake-up at Stamford Bridge.
CHELSEA made the decision last summer to bring in Liam Delap and Joao Pedro to the club in order to solve their goal-scoring problems, as Nicolas Jackson failed to make the impact that many had hoped for after his move from Spanish football.
However – both Delap and Pedro have been very inconsistent this season, while Jackson was shipped out to Bayern Munich in order to get him off the books for a season, but the summer window will give Chelsea the chance to offload the deadwood and also add some quality to that attack.
Now, amid the speculation Cundy believes there could be a summer shake-up among Chelsea’s forwards which is likely to see Jackson sold, and claims that loan move to Bayern Munich could actually turn into a £70 million permanent transfer: “It feels like Jackson’s going to go,” he told TalkSport. “It feels like that bridge has been burned even though there’s a new manager.
“My guess would be that maybe Liam Delap goes on loan, that might be an option.
“He feels a bit raw, he’s had one season in the Premier League. Maybe he needs to go and play every week.”
IcChelseanews Says…
If Cundy is right and CHELSEA manage to get £70 million for Jackson in the summer window, they will be very lucky as he is probably worth only half of that. But he is right in saying that Jackson is probably done at Stamford Bridge and will leave.
We done not expect to play in that Blues shirt next season.
