Emergency Notice on Blazer’s Edge Night

Portland Trail Blazers fans and Blazer’s Edge Readers will be familiar with Blazer’s Edge Night, the annual charity event where we send thousands of local kids from the Portland area to see the Trail Blazers play in person at the Moda Center. Each year this life-changing event helps teachers, students, principals, coaches, and counselors provide an amazing experience for people who otherwise couldn’t ever see a game in real life. Stories are legion about the smiles, laughs, cheers, and sometimes tears as our young participants get to experience something they’d only dreamed of…for the majority, their very first Blazers game.

I just got the update from the Blazers on this year’s event, and even though donations have been strong, we’re bumping up against a couple of realities:

1. The deadline for donations comes next week. We have to cut it off because our participants need to be able to arrange transportation and logistics for the event. Since this year’s game happens on March 10th, we’re pushing it down to the wire.

2. Just under 1,000 tickets remain un-donated at this point.

Long story short, we have that long to make up the gap.

I don’t believe any one person in our reach is going to buy all 1,000 tickets. What it takes is a bunch of people willing to buy one ticket, or two. They start at $13 and run up to $24, which isn’t that expensive when you consider you’re making someone’s year! Please, can you help?

Donating is really easy! The Blazers themselves have set up a site. [Click through this link to get there.](/trail-blazers-news/108613/portland-trail-blazers-charity-event-donations-tickets-kids-2026) You purchase tickets from the Blazers directly there, except instead of going into your personal account they go into the pool of tickets for the charity event.

Please. It’s now or never. We want to be able to say yes to all of the people who want to go (and there are a lot). Can you help with a ticket or two today, or more if you’re able?

Thanks from the bottom of our hearts. We love being a part of the Blazer’s Edge community. Let’s get this done for the people who are waiting to hear that they can go on March 10th!
