Big star to leave Liverpool–Superstar in talks over summer move–Liverpool green light sign£80M target

Here is a roundup of the top Liverpool news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews featuring Ibrihima Konate, Rafael Leao and Mohamed Salah that you guys may have missed….

The likes of Liverpool are on alert amid reports that AC Milan are open to cashing in on Rafael Leao when the summer transfer window opens up in just a few months time.

The transfer window has been open for a few weeks now, there has been alot of transfer rumours regarding LIVERPOOL and who they could acquire, but despite all the speculation, it has been a pretty boring window for Reds fans to witness.

There has been more players leave the club than come in, and with only a few days left of the transfer window left, the Reds are still working hard on getting some of the fringe players in the side out of the club before the deadline closes on Monday.

But there is already talk about the type of players that LIVERPOOL could look to sign at the end of the season, and there has already been some names linked with the club that could get many Blues fans excited.

WHAT IS THE LATEST WITH RAFAEL LEAO?

According to the Daily Mail, LIVERPOOL are looking to strengthen on the left wing and the Portugal international has been cited as a potential option with a price tag of around £80million.

Leao is one of the most highly-prized wingers in European football, with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal just three clubs that have been keeping a close eye on him over the past few seasons.

The reports claim that Milan are looking to cash in on Leao at the end of the season if order to raise some funds and freshen up the side in order to start really competing for that Seria A title and Champions League crown, and £80 million would go along way into freshening up the side.

COULD LIVERPOOL SIGN LEAO?

LIVERPOOL have been linked with Rafael Leao for the last few seasons, they have even made some moves, but they have been unable to convince Milan into letting one of the clubs star players leave the side, they have been unable to get a deal done.

SALAH IN TALKS OVER SUMMER MOVE

There has been some shock reports in the media which have claimed that Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad have opened talks with Liverpool star Mohamed Salah about a summer move away from Anfield.

Mohamed Salah has been one of the greatest players that have ever played for LIVERPOOL ever since he made that shock move to join from Roman all those years ago, and it that time he has scored a ton of goals and won alot of trophies.

But after having one of his best seasons at Liverpool last year, and then agreeing a new contract at Anfield, Salaha has looked nothing like the superstar that could easily score 30 goals a season for the Reds.

That led to some shock reports that he could leave in the January window, there were even reports that Saudi Teams and PSG were open to trying to get some deals done, but in the end, he stayed at Liverpool and is now fighting to get back to his best.

However – according to Foot Mercato, Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad have opened talks with Liverpool over a potential deal for Salah.

The Egyptian is apparently ‘much more open’ to leaving Anfield than he was last season, the report claims, and his potential arrival would be a big boost for Al-Ittihad given the recent departures of Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante.

IcFootballnews Says…

After the season that Salah had least season, he should have left Liverpool and made that big money move to Saudi Arabia, he didnt need to wait another season before making the switch.

It is not a shock to see that LIVERPOOL will probably be open, Salah is open to leaving and talks have been started, it would be more of a shock to see Salah stay at the club beyond the summer that is for sure.

But if he does leave the club, Liverpool fans will thank him for all the success he has helped bring the club over the seasons.

KONATE TO LEAVE LIVERPOOL

Here is the latest Liverpool transfer speculation as reports have now claimed that Ibrihima Konate is heading towards the exit signs at Anfield as talks over a new contract have stalled in recent days.

The Frenchman, who joined LIVERPOOL from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2021, has lifted five major trophies during his time at Anfield, including the Premier League in 2024/25.

But the France international’s future has been the subject of speculation in recent months, with Liverpool making efforts to extend his stay at Anfield for the foreseeable future.

However, with no breakthrough in contract talks, Konate is anticipated to depart the Reds on a free transfer when his deal runs out at the end of the season, with a number of clubs keeping a very close eye on his situation at the Premier League Champions

Reports have claimed LIVERPOOL are expected to add to the signing of Jeremy Jacquet as they seek to replace Konate and keep on improving that backline..

Konate has been a great player for Liverpool over the past few seasons and his partnership with Virgil Van Dijk has been one of the key reasons why the club are so good defensively.

He is a massive part of that Liverpool side, so the news that he will probably wont agree a new contract at Liverpool is a big shock, but no real surprised as many fans want to see a new defender or two brought to the club

There will seemingly be some big changes at the end of the season for LIVERPOOL, but if Konate does leave the club, fans will wish him all the best as he has done a wonderful job at the club and earned his place in the squad over the last few years.
