Control Your Threads Feed With New Dear Algo Feature

Threads is where you go to keep up with what’s happening right now. But sometimes, what matters to you changes in an instant, and you want your Threads feed to reflect that — whether it’s seeing more posts during a live NBA game or less about a TV show you haven’t caught up on yet.

Today, we’re rolling out Dear Algo on Threads, an AI-powered feature that gives you more control over what you see by letting you tell Threads what’s important to you in the moment.

Using Dear Algo is simple. Just type “Dear Algo” in a public Threads post, followed by what you’d like to see more or less of. For example, if you want to see more content about popular podcasts, you can type “Dear algo, show me more posts about podcasts.”

Once you share your request, Dear Algo adjusts your feed for three days, so you can stay connected to the most current conversations. You can also repost someone else’s Dear Algo request to apply their content preferences to your own feed.

We want Dear Algo to make Threads feel more personal — whether you’re following trending topics or exploring niche interests. It’s another way we’re helping you find the latest conversations that are relevant to you. Dear Algo is available now in the US, New Zealand, Australia, and the United Kingdom, and we hope to introduce it in more countries soon.
