Drake Maye's Wife Issues First Comment On Super Bowl Loss

It's safe to say Super Bowl LX didn't go the way Drake Maye hoped it would.

The New England Patriots were dismantled by the Seattle Seahawks this past Sunday night. Maye struggled against Mike Macdonald's defense, completing 27-of-43 passes for 295 yards for two touchdowns with two interceptions. He also had a costly fumble during the late stages of the third quarter.

Although the MVP finalist set a new record for the most sacks taken in a single postseason in the Super Bowl era, he's not letting it derail his optimism.

"I think that's the biggest thing about life is you're going to have times like this. It's how you bounce back. I think a lot of those guys in that locker room, they're going to use this as fuel," Maye said after the game, via CBS News. "I think I would go to war with those guys any time, any day, anywhere. It's motivation to get back here and not have this feeling, and have what they're feeling out there."

The star quarterback's wife, Ann Michael Maye, opened up about the Patriots' 29-13 loss to the Seahawks this Wednesday. She posted a heartfelt message on her Instagram account that has already gone viral.

"Not how we wanted it to end but still thanking God for this incredible season," she wrote. "We are blessed to be surrounded by such an amazing group of people, who made this season what it was. This is only the beginning!!"

Drake and Ann are still going strong.

Prior to this year's Super Bowl, a reporter asked Maye about his love life. He's been with Ann since their middle school days. Though they got married at a young age, he's got no regrets.

"My teammates have the right to whatever they choose but I would definitely advise them to eventually get married. It's one of the best things I've experienced in my life. There's no better feeling than coming home to a wife that loves you and cares for you," Maye said, via Us Weekly. "I know my teammates, some of them are experiencing different parts of their life. I chose to get married young, and I don't regret it one bit."

We wish Drake and Ann all the best as they enter the NFL offseason.
