Donald Trump was outspoken before, during, and after Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl halftime show. In fact, the President of the United States called it “absolutely terrible” and and “one of the worst ever.”
However, one of his biggest supporters seems to disagree.

One of President Donald Trump’s most vocal and high-profile supporters has made it clear that she loved Bad Bunny’s halftime performance:
The American sports broadcaster, journalist, model, and conservative influencer shocked everyone this week with her reaction. With an alternative Halftime show going on for upset conservatives, Austin decided to watch the NFL Super Bowl Halftime show. She came away not disappointed.
Emily, known for hosting “The Emily Austin Show,” took to X to praise Bad Bunny’s performance. It wasn’t just one time; it was several times.
Post after post on Sunday showed Austin praising Bad Bunny’s visuals and overall performance.
“In a culture addicted to outrage, people are desperate to tear each other apart. Bad Bunny had the biggest stage in the world and could’ve made it political. He didn’t. He chose unity & love. Most of the criticism I’ve seen isn’t even about the music — it’s about his ethnicity. That’s weak. Music and sports are supposed to bring us together. You can celebrate different backgrounds and still love this country. That’s exactly what this Super Bowl performance did ❤️🇺🇸,”she said.

Austin emphasized that Bad Bunny, as a Puerto Rican (and therefore American citizen), had every right to celebrate his heritage on one of the biggest stages in the world.
Austin pointed out that the halftime show included no explicit political messaging against the United States and that the cultural elements — flags from Latin countries, a staged wedding, and high-energy choreography — were simply an expression of pride rather than an attack on anyone.
Austin also drew a contrast with previous halftime performances that featured explicit lyrics or controversial themes in English, asking why those rarely generated the same level of sustained backlash. She suggested that some of the criticism stemmed more from discomfort with Spanish being prominent on a national broadcast than from any genuine moral or patriotic concern.
Her position drew praise from moderate conservatives and Latino viewers who appreciated the pushback against blanket “anti-American” framing, while it earned her sharp rebukes from harder-line MAGA accounts who accused her of going “soft” or pandering.
