Havertz facing a month out with muscular injury

According to The Athletic, Kai Havertz is set for another spell on the sidelines after suffering a muscular injury.

The 26-year-old had been in decent form since returning to first-team action last month, scoring twice and providing two assists in six appearances. He has featured up front, competing with Viktor Gyokeres and Gabriel Jesus for minutes, while also offering cover in midfield for Martin Odegaard and Mikel Merino.

Havertz underwent surgery this time last year to repair a torn hamstring, returning in time for the final game of the season. After an encouraging pre-season, he then sustained a knee injury that required another operation, ruling him out for a further five months.

His latest setback, which Arseblog News understands will keep him out for around a month, comes at a difficult time for both player and club. Arsenal face six games in the next four weeks, with a potential FA Cup fifth-round tie also on the horizon should we overcome Wigan on Sunday.

In more positive news, both Odegaard and Bukayo Saka have returned to full training ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Brentford.
