According to Shams Charania of ESPN, the Spurs and 22-year-old Sochan have agreed on his release to allow the 2023 All-Rookie team member to become a free agent.
The Polish forward has struggled to find his rhythm and a consistent spot in the rotation this season.
Sochan has played in 27 games this season, averaging just 13 minutes per contest while posting 4.3 points and 2.7 rebounds per game.
According to earlier reports, the New York Knicks were interested in acquiring the former top-10 draft pick from the Spurs.
However, their proposed trade offer was reportedly declined by San Antonio, who were unable to find a trade partner before the deadline despite him not being part of their future plans.
