Immediately after the news broke, Arenas criticized the Lakers for trading for Kennard, saying that at this point they were allowing just about anyone onto the team, expressing his disappointment with the move.

Now, on the latest installment of the Gil's Arena show, Arenas said that compared to what the Lakers had before, Kennard is an All-Star, and apologized for his earlier outburst.

"I'll take Luke Kennard. I'm sorry -- Luke Kennard is an All-Star compared to what we had before," Arenas said.

"Like, I'm sorry. I'm just going to be honest with you. I thought we were about to get some real stuff."

"So my mind was here -- filet, wagyu. They brought me some free-range chicken. I wasn't in the mood for chicken, so I threw it out. Now I'm hungry, and the chicken is good, real good," he explained his initial reaction.

At the deadline, the Lakers traded Gabe Vincent and a 2032 second-round pick to the Atlanta Hawks for Luke Kennard.

In his first three games with the Lakers, the 29-year-old guard has averaged 10.3 points, 2.7 assists, and 1.7 rebounds per game.
