Manchester City built on their dramatic win over Liverpool by cruising past Fulham to move to within three points of Arsenal at the top of the Premier League table. The league leaders play at Brentford on Thursday night but will find the Blues closer than many expected them to be before their late comeback at Anfield.

City had no dramas on Wednesday against a Fulham side that were poor from the start. Antoine Semenyo grabbed the first after Sander Berge cushioned the ball to him in the six-yard box, and Nico O'Reilly clipped in a lovely second goal after a good counter-attacking move.

Erling Haaland scored his 29th goal of the season before being withdrawn at half-time as Omar Marmoush replaced him. Here are the player ratings from the Manchester Evening News.

Donnarumma: Some decent saves on the rare occasions when Fulham threatened to make sure City weren't punished for being wasteful. 7

Nunes: Struggled with his duels and was hooked after an hour after hitting a pass into touch. Did set up the first goal. 6

Dias: A solid return to the team and an instant connection with his centre-back partner that looks solid already. 7

Guehi: Another composed performance that stopped Fulham from gaining any early momentum. 7

Ait-Nouri: Picked up where he left off at Anfield, with a lovely touch and an even better awareness of when to pounce. 8

Rodri: His passing was on point and he had the midfield wrapped up before earning a rest. 7

Silva: Fresh from covering every blade of Anfield grass, he filled in everywhere to keep City ticking. 7

O'Reilly: A commanding performance in the first half and a lovely goal, although he faded in the second as City worsened. 8

Foden: An improvement on recent performances, more incisive with his running and passing that included an assist for Haaland. 7

Semenyo: Struggled to stay in the game, but still scored and could have had a penalty when his hair was pulled. 7

Haaland: A slow start but did very well for the second goal and then took the third with aplomb. 8
