Chicago Bears star Caleb Williams will show off his arm at NBA All-Star Weekend

The Iceman himself, Caleb Williams, is participating in the Celebrity Three-Point Contest at the NBA All-Star Weekend this Friday, a Chicago Bears rep confirmed to The TRiiBE.

NBA All-Star Weekend takes place Friday through Sunday in Inglewood, California at the Intuit Dome, the new home of the Los Angeles Clippers.

This news gives Chicago Bears fans a reason to tune into the hallmark NBA event. QB1, who is becoming the new face of the NFL, will showcase his basketball skills on the mainstage. LA is another home for Williams, who won the Heisman Trophy as quarterback for University of Southern California.

Also hooping in the contest are NBA analyst Richard Jefferson, BMX athlete Nigel Sylvester, comedian and actor Druski, Jake from State Farm (who hails from Chicago), streamer and rapper PlaqueBoyMax, basketball influencer Cam Wilder, and Oklahoma City Thunder guard Jared McCain.

NBA All-Star Weekend marks the halfway point of each NBA season. It’s a fun weekend that highlights the NBA’s best talent and some of the country’s biggest music artists and Hollywood stars. Other marquee events during the weekend are the AT&T Dunk Contest, State Farm Three Point Contest, the Kia Skills Challenge, and Sunday’s All-Star game.

Although the Chicago Bears season ended last month in a loss to the LA Rams in the divisional round of the NFC playoffs, the “Monsters of the Midway” took the country by storm, easily playing the most exciting brand of football while birthing a star in QB Caleb Williams. For his heroics and game-saving clutch plays, he’s earned the “Iceman” nickname and even has his own scoring celebration — one similar to the freezing gesture that Washington Wizards guard Trey Young uses in game.

Now it looks like the NBA has plans on cashing in on the popular Bears and Williams’s stardom. After a winning season filled with fun and cardiac moments, Bears fans are clamoring to see more of number 18. One thing’s for sure. If this three-point contest is anything like the Bears season, fans should expect fireworks.
