The Cavaliers made key adjustments to their court following backlash and reported discussions with the NBA.
Following the recent backlash and concerns, it appears the Cleveland Cavaliers finally made a much-needed change to their controversial home court.

In an image provided by Cavaliers reporter Danny Cunningham, the hardwood of the Rocket Arena was adjusted.
The court has been widened, extending toward the fans’ seats rather than dropping into the previously hazardous 10-inch gap that separated the playing surface from the arena floor.
In 2023, Miami Heat guard Dru Smith suffered a season-ending torn ACL injury after sliding off and falling awkwardly from the court.
It was already reported that the NBA and the Cavs have been discussing changes to the elevated court, and it seems that these conversations have now materialized for the overall safety of players.
