Phoenix Suns forward Dillon Brooks was assessed his 16th technical foul of the season on Wednesday, reaching the mark which triggers a one-game suspension.
If the technical foul is upheld, Brooks would be suspended for Phoenix’s game at the San Antonio Spurs on Feb. 19, after the All-Star break.
Brooks was charged with the technical with 6:37 left in the second quarter after he was arguing with an official following being called for a foul

Brooks will be suspended one game for every two more technical fouls he picks up this season, to go along with a $5,000 fine.
In his ninth year in the league, Brooks is averaging 21.2 points per game while shooting 44% from the field, both career highs. He’s also averaging a career high in shot attempts (17.6).
Out of seasons in his career where Brooks has played in at least half the games, Brooks has a higher usage rate this season (28.5%) than any other season during his career, though that could see a dip when Jalen Green and Devin Booker return to the lineup.
