Giannis Antetokounmpo teams up with Gopuff after Kalshi controversy

Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to grow his presence off the court. The Milwaukee Bucks star has formed a strategic partnership with Gopuff, joining the instant commerce platform as both a collaborator and investor. The move comes shortly after Antetokounmpo became the first active NBA player to acquire an ownership stake in Kalshi, further expanding his business interests.

“Game days, late nights, long flights – @gopuff keeps up with me. Happy to officially join the squad as a shareholder 💙,” Giannis wrote in a post in his Instagram account.

Through the partnership, Antetokounmpo will team up with Gopuff on product development, distribution planning, and original content initiatives. The company also intends to work with him on exclusive releases and experiences designed to engage fans.

The Gopuff partnership comes after Antetokounmpo’s minority stake in Kalshi. In addition to his investment, he will take part in live activations and marketing efforts, according to Gaming Intelligence.

Gopuff, launched in 2013 by Yakir Gola and Rafael Ilishayev, runs micro-fulfillment centers throughout the United States and United Kingdom. Co-CEO and co-founder Rafael Ilishayev emphasized the strong alignment between the company and the Bucks’ star forward.

“Hearing Giannis talk about Gopuff as part of his everyday routine is exactly why this partnership means so much to us. We’re most excited to work with partners who don’t just stand behind the brand, but actively experience it and help evolve it through their ideas and feedback. Giannis brings that energy in a big way, and we’re excited to build alongside him to create truly one-of-a-kind experiences that raise the bar for our customers.” Ilyashev commented via a press release.

For Antetokounmpo, the deal reflects his expanding presence beyond basketball, linking his worldwide profile with businesses on a growth trajectory.
