Suns' Dillon Brooks
The Phoenix Suns head into the All-Star break with a 32-23 record after suffering a 136-109 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday.
Shorthanded Suns fall to Thunder before all-star
Phoenix was without Grayson Allen, Devin Booker, Jalen Green and Isaiah Livers and things got out of hand rather quickly as Oklahoma City led by as many as 37 points in the game.
Thunder star Jalen Williams led all scorers with 28 points on 11-of-12 shooting while the Suns were led by Dillon Brooks’ 23 points in 24 minutes.
Brooks did pick up his 16th technical foul of the season, which, if it is not rescinded, will result in an automatic one-game suspension after All-Star. Perhaps the brightest spot in tonight’s game was the play from young players, as rookies Rasheer Fleming and Khaman Maluach showed flashes during the fourth quarter after the game was out of hand.
