"Stop saying my minutes, I never had minutes," Clarkson wrote, per New York Post, highlighting his struggle to find rhythm with limited time on the court.
This season, Clarkson is seeing the lowest minutes-per-game average of his career, which has affected his ability to establish a consistent offensive flow, particularly from beyond the arc.
Clarkson brings 12 seasons of NBA experience to New York, having played for four teams, including the Utah Jazz and Los Angeles Lakers. Over his 804 regular-season games, he has averaged 15.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists.
This season in 50 games played, he averages 9.1 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists while shooting 43.2% from the field.
