According to reports in Nigerian football media, Barcelona could look to land a Super Eagles star in the near future as the club prepares for an attacking revamp.
Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has long been linked with a big money move to one of Europe’s top clubs, as he continues to shine in Turkey and the Nigerian national team.
Now though, the 27-year-old is said to be on Barcelona’s radar once more as per Punch Sports Extra.
Osimhen maintained his impressive showing in front of goal this season and has so far recorded 15 goals in 21 games in all competitions. While the former Napoli star has netted nine goals in 15 Super Lig matches during the 25/26 campaign, the popular African star also bagged six goals in six UEFA Champions League fixtures.
It’s believed that Barcelona view Osimhen as a natural replacement for Robert Lewandowski, who will be 38 in August. Along with Barcelona’s reported interest, Juventus are also spoken of as a club who admires Osimhen’s impressive form in front of goal.
The report also mentioned that the Turkish giants would entertain bids around the €80 million mark while he remains under contract with the club until 2029.
