Alan Shearer
Since Leeds United turned a corner back in December, they have managed to achieve some incredible results. Before then, the team were in poor form and could not pick up a point from anywhere.
Daniel Farke’s efforts and the players stepping up at the end of the year have seen the Whites becomes very formidable Premier League opposition as the weeks have gone by. Tuesday night was no different, as the team came back from two goals down to secure a 2-2 draw and take away a precious point. The battle for survival has intensified every week, but Leeds seem to be separating themselves from the chasing pack.

Alan Shearer opens up on Leeds United result
Alan Shearer has been discussing the club’s result against Chelsea on Tuesday on BBC MOTD, saying that Leeds deserve all the credit for coming from behind to get a point:
“They had 4 or 5 chances to clear that ball. Rosenior gets it wrong in terms of the laws of the game because it was not the goal scorer who handled it and it was accidental from Bogle.
“But just look at the number of chances the Chelsea defence have to clear the ball and it just falls on a plate for Okafor to put it in there.
“You have got to give huge credit to Leeds for the way they bounced back in the game. Yes it does hit his hand but it is completely accidental and he is not the scorer – Chelsea only have themselves to blame.
“Chelsea should have cleared it, but huge credit to Leeds for the way they came back from 2-0 down – they were completely out of it.
“The chance that falls to Cole Palmer in the last minute, you would want it to fall to him and I don’t think he could believe he missed it either.”

Whites should not be complacent
The battle for survival is not over yet for Leeds United, so they should not be complacent. With how the positions at the bottom of the league have changed over the last two games, anything can happen from now till the end of the season. The best Daniel Farke’s men can do is continue to pick up points like how they have been doing since December. Fans will have hope now that Leeds have hit 30 points with 12 games to go in this campaign.
