Liverpool’s injury nightmare continued on Wednesday, with the Reds handed yet another major scare during their victory over Sunderland.
Arne Slot’s side managed to narrow the gap on Manchester United and Chelsea as it looks to secure a spot in next season’s Champions League, but becoming the first team to win at the Stadium of Light this season came at a price.
Wataru Endo had to be stretchered off after an awkward landing, meaning yet another option at right-back looks to have been ruled out. The Reds were at least boosted by the return of Joe Gomez, while Dominik Szoboszlai will be back from suspension this weekend.

Here is the latest on the injury front after the win over Sunderland, and ahead of this weekend's clash with Brighton in the FA Cup.
Wataru Endo
We may find out more about Endo's injury today (February 12) but Slot is not holding out much hope after seeing the Japanese international stretchered off.
"Yes it is a serious one but how serious we don't know yet," Slot said after the game. "Because it has to be assessed tomorrow of course, but it doesn't look good. I am not too sure if it is his ankle, it is his foot but if it is his ankle, that is what we have to assess tomorrow. But I assume he will be out for a long time.
"And what is 'long' that is difficult to say at this moment but, yes, you can hardly believe what this right-full back position brings us this season.
Possible return date: Unknown
Jeremie Frimpong
Jeremie Frimpong will likely remain out for at least one or two more weeks, although no potential return date has been given by Slot. The Liverpool boss did recently suggest his injury is not as bad as first feared though, which may suggest he won't be missing for as long as suspected when he was forced off against Qarabag.

No update was given after the win at Sunderland, so it would probably be safe to assume he won't feature against Brighton this weekend. The game against Nottingham Forest might come too soon as well, with West Ham on February 28 potentially a target, although there's no word yet on when he might return to training.
Possible return date: Unknown
Alexander Isak
Alexander Isak has been seen watching on from the sidelines at Anfield recently, which could be seen as a positive sign after his broken leg against Tottenham.
The striker is expected to return before the end of the season, although he is likely to still be some way off making a comeback. Slot will be hoping it's sooner rather than later so that he can start giving Hugo Ekitike more of a rest.
Possible return date: April/May
Conor Bradley
We won't be seeing Conor Bradley in a Liverpool shirt again this season, and it looks to be touch and go whether he will be able to feature at the World Cup if Northern Ireland qualifies.
The 22-year-old had to undergo surgery after his knee injury at Arsenal, and won't be expected back in action for the Reds until pre-season at the earliest.
Possible return date: 2026/27 season

Giovanni Leoni
Like Bradley, Giovanni Leoni won't be returning for Liverpool before the end of the season, having required surgery after rupturing his ACL on debut against Southampton back in September.
The Italian has been seen in recent videos from the Reds' training ground, although fans shouldn't get their hopes up about an early return, with Leoni needing to complete his rehab before a comeback can be thought about.
