Chelsea continue to be heavily linked with Atletico Madrid and Argentina forward Julian Alvarez.
According to one outlet, Chelsea have already held discussions about signing Alvarez this summer.
However, the 26-year-old may not be the only Atletico star who is targeted by the Blues in the next transfer window.

Chelsea are also said to be interested in Marc Pubill as they search for defensive reinforcements.

Chelsea add Marc Pubill to shortlist
It was well-documented during the January transfer window that Chelsea wanted to sign a central defender, and it appears that has not changed.
Journalist Simon Phillips has claimed on Si Phillips Talks Chelsea that the Blues now have Pubill on their shortlist ahead of the summer.
While the club did not sign Pubill or another centre-half last month, they did recall Mamadou Sarr from his loan at Strasbourg.

Liam Rosenior has confirmed that Sarr will play this Friday when Chelsea take on Hull City in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
In the future, it looks like there is a chance that Rosenior will have Sarr, Pubill and Alvarez all at his disposal, though a lot still needs to happen for that to become a possibility.

Marc Pubill superb in the air
If Chelsea do go on to sign Pubill from Atletico, one thing he will bring to their side is an aerial presence.
The 22-year-old stands at 6’3″ and is very successful when competing in the air. For example, this season, Pubill is winning 4.46 aerial duels per 90 minutes, according to FotMob.
Rosenior does not have too many centre-halves who are fantastic in the air, if any at all, so Pubill’s profile seems quite appropriate for Chelsea.
Right now, they have many options on their books, so one or two names will have to leave before Pubill or another central defender arrives at Stamford Bridge.
The likes of Sarr and Josh Acheampong may also need to be loaned out to get regular playing time.
