The Cleveland Cavaliers made their move at the trade deadline. Bringing in James Harden was about one goal: winning a championship.

Team President Koby Altman made it clear after completing the deal. He believes the Cavaliers raised their ceiling by adding the 11-time NBA All-Star. On Wednesday night, Harden made his home debut in front of the Cleveland crowd. Playing for the sixth team of his career, the veteran guard understands the pressure that comes with title expectations.
When asked if this Cavs roster has what it takes to compete for a ring, Harden gave a confident answer.
"Yeah. Yes, yes," the 36-year-old asserted. "I don't know how many times I really said that throughout the course of my career. Given the depth, given the shooting, the athleticism, the versatility that we have, yes."
Through three games, the early impact has been strong. Harden is averaging 19.3 points and 8.7 assists per game in a Cavaliers uniform. In a 138-113 win over the Washington Wizards, he shifted into playmaker mode. He scored 13 points on just four field goal attempts but controlled the tempo with 11 assists.
The Cavaliers are on a roll. They have won five straight games and are 3-0 since the trade. The offense is flowing, the ball is moving, and multiple players are stepping up.
For the season, Harden is averaging 25.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 8.2 assists in 47 games. He is shooting 42.0 percent from the field and 35.0 percent from three-point range.
