Eagles trade rumor is exciting news for 49ers, Chiefs, Raiders and Broncos

Four teams that should be in the market for a wide receiver this offseason are the Las Vegas Raiders, Kansas City Chiefs, Denver Broncos and San Francisco 49ers.

In San Francisco, Brandon Aiyuk's days are numbered and he's not expected to be back in 2026. On top of that, Jauan Jennings is a pending free agent and there's a strong possibility George Kittle won't be ready by Week 1 due to a torn Achilles.

The Raiders' need at wide receiver became even more dire after they landed the No. 1 pick that will likely be Fernando Mendoza. Las Vegas' wide receivers room isn't close to good enough to support a rookie quarterback.

The Chiefs have a promising young duo in Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy, but the latter had a disappointing 2025 campaign and Rice is in more legal trouble, which makes for an uncertain situation at wide receiver in Kansas City.

As for the Broncos, Courtland Sutton remains on the roster but Denver needs another proven target for Bo Nix.

All four teams should be keeping an eye on Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown, who many speculate will be on the trade block this offseason.

According to the latest Brown rumor from ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, some executives around the NFL believe the Eagles will at least take calls on the veteran wideout, which is exciting news for the Broncos, 49ers, Raiders and Chiefs..

"Well, some people I've talked to around the league, some executives with other teams, do expect that the Eagles will at least entertain a trade for A.J. Brown, who is unhappy on numerous fronts," Fowler said.

Brown is unhappy because of his inconsistent role in the offense, and because of the overall dysfunction Philly's unit has seen in recent years.

The problem is that the Eagles would take a bath in dead money if they do decide to trade Brown, and then general manager Howie Roseman would have to turn around and spend money on a replacement.

It will take quite the chasm between Brown and the Eagles for Philadelphia to go through all that, but never say never in today's NFL.

The Chiefs would have the most difficult time pulling off a trade because of their disastrous cap space situation. However, Kansas City does have a few young wideouts they can offer the Eagles, which would be appealing.

The Broncos and 49ers are both in win-now positions after their successful 2025 seasons, and with a dire need at the position, they will be highly motivated to acquire a top-level talent like Brown.

The Raiders have the cap space and the motivation, also, and a YAC monster like Brown would be an ideal addition for a young quarterback.

We would put the 49ers slightly ahead of the Broncos at the top of the list of these four teams in terms of the likelihood they make this kind of trade. Both teams need help, but San Francisco is in a worse spot.

We would also put the Raiders ahead of the Chiefs because of their superior cap space situation, although if Brown had his choice, Las Vegas would probably be down at the bottom of this list.
