Liam Rosenior has been given a huge boost ahead of Chelsea's clash against Hull City. The Blues will be determined to return to winning ways when they lock horns with the Championship outfit at the MKM Stadium in the FA Cup fourth round on Friday night.

Chelsea were held to a draw by Leeds United at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night after squandering a two-goal lead. Although Rosenior maintained his unbeaten start to life in the Premier League, the west Londoners dropped crucial points in the race for Champions League qualification.

Sergej Jakirović's side will also be keen to get back on the horse following their defeat to Bristol City last weekend. It was Hull City's first loss since New Year's Day after a run of six-games unbeaten across all competitions.

Although the Club World Cup winners may fancy their chances, the Tigers have had a few more days to prepare for the tie. In the little time that Chelsea have had at Cobham, Rosenior has put his players through their paces.

So, with that being said, football.london has rounded up everything you may have missed in training at Cobham this week.

Three Chelsea players return

Reece James, Tosin Adarabioyo, and Romeo Lavia returned to training at Cobham this week. The Chelsea captain has been nursing an illness, which he picked up shortly after recovering from a minor knock, while the duo have recovered from their respective injuries.

Tosin had sustained a muscle problem, while Lavia hasn't featured for the Blues since November, when he was forced to come off in the opening minutes of a clash against Qarabag in the Champions League. Speaking to reporters at Cobham on Wednesday afternoon, Rosenior provided an update on James.

"Reece trained modified, still under the weather," said the Blues boss. "We'll make a decision on Reece tomorrow, but it's good news that he's back on the training pitch. In terms of injury, he's absolutely fine, but he's had a really bad bug, and hopefully he's recovered from that."

New Chelsea star gets stuck in

Mamadou Sarr, who Chelsea recalled from Strasbourg at the end of the January transfer window, was getting stuck in this week. Eager to impress his new teammates and the coaching staff alike, the 20-year-old wasn't afraid to make a meaty tackle.

"Mamadou's got a great chance to start the game," said Rosenior, who worked with the youngster in France before replacing Enzo Maresca in the dugout. "It's very difficult for a player in January to move clubs.

"Obviously, the great thing for Mamadou is he's been here before and also he knows me very well and my expectations and demands with the players. He's only been here for a week, so he needs time to bed in.

"He needs time to acclimatise, but now I think he's in a really good place and he'll definitely see the pitch at some point on Friday."

Chelsea trio nowhere to be seen

Cole Palmer, Joao Pedro, and Estevao Willian were nowhere to be seen in the latest set of training pictures. The Chelsea trio started Tuesday night's clash against Leeds, so perhaps they were afforded a little extra time to recharge their batteries.

Chelsea strikers battle for place

With Pedro likely to be rested against Hull City, Liam Delap and Marc Guiu will be battling it out for a place in the starting lineup. While the former looks primed to fulfil his role as an understudy, the latter caught the eye in the previous round of the FA Cup, firing Chelsea to victory against Charlton Athletic.
