Green Bay Packers listed as potential threat to dethrone Seattle Seahawks after Super Bowl LX

The Green Bay Packers fell short of the their goal of making it to the Super Bowl this year. After starting the year 5-1-1, Green Bay went just 4-6 in their final 10 games, which included a four-game losing streak to end the 2025 NFL season. What is more, they were then eliminated from the NFL Playoffs by the Chicago Bears, who also won the NFC North.

One has to wonder, though, how the season would have gone for the Packers had they not suffered as many injuries. While Green Bay itself is not ever going to use injuries as an excuse for coming up short, many outside of the building are convinced that losing players like Tucker Kraft and Micah Parsons to season-ending injuries doomed the Packers.

And some believe having those players back in 2026 could turn Green Bay into a Super Bowl team.

NFL analyst believes the Green Bay Packers could win Super Bowl LXI

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love (10) looks at the scoreboard after throwing an interception during the first quarter of their game against the Chicago Bears Sunday, December 7, 2025 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

In a recent article posted on Bleacher Report, NFL analyst Brad Gagnon wrote about the teams he believes pose the biggest threat to the Seattle Seahawks, who won Super Bowl LX. He includes the Packers on his list, writing:

“They entered 2025 as a favorite in the NFC and remained in the mix before falling off a cliff in December. But injuries were a big part of that, and they could have key guys like Micah Parsons and Tucker Kraft back in September.

“The ceiling is high if they can put it all together with Love and Parsons leading the way on either side of the ball, but there is a lot of room for things to go awry again. I’m still betting they do some playoff damage in 2026, which could be a problem for the Seahawks on their path to a potential repeat. “

As one can see, Gagnon believes getting Kraft and Parsons back will make the Packers a dangerous team in the NFC, and could lead the team to an appearance in Super Bowl LXI.

However, he also wrote, “quarterback Jordan Love continues to have issues with injuries and consistency,” as a potential reason why Green Bay could fall short again. This doesn’t seem to make much sense as Love was incredibly consistent all year long. The “injury” he suffered last season that cost him a game was a concussion.

Of all the things that could go wrong for the Packers next season, Love being “inconsistent” is not even on their radar. He has shown that he only gets better the more he plays, and ended the season, once again, as the NFL’s best passer (in terms of QBR) in December and January).
