Chelsea got the year started as far as the managerial merry-go round is concerned with the decision to sack Enzo Maresca, and now a number of their rivals have followed suit.
Manchester United parted ways with Ruben Amorim, and have enjoyed an identical Premier League turnaround to what Chelsea have had since Liam Rosenior took over.
Tottenham are the latest big Premier League club to give this a go after parting ways with Thomas Frank, someone who was considered for the Chelsea job at one stage.

Why Chelsea never tried to hire Roberto de Zerbi
Frank was a strong candidate for the Blues job after Pochettino’s exit, as well as Roberto de Zerbi, who has also just been relieved of his duties by Marseille.
There were large parts of the Chelsea fanbase who were keen on the Italian taking over at Stamford Bridge, however the club looked in a different direction.
According to the i Newspaper at the time, the Blues had concerns that De Zerbi would not play the style of football that they were looking for in a new manager, wanting a possession style of football which Maresca would play.
The other reason Chelsea had major doubts over hiring the former Brighton boss was to do with the amount of coaches he was likely to want at the club. This is despite it becoming a common theme for new managers to bring their own backroom staff with them.

De Zerbi’s Marseille stint a red flag
The 46-year-old was in charge of Marseille for less than two years before he and the club mutually agreed to part ways.
This decision came after they were eliminated from the Champions League in embarrassing style, and defeated 5-0 by league rivals PSG.
The Marseille squad certainly boasts some serious talent, including former Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Chelsea have been proven justified in their decision to not hire De Zerbi, and will be excited at what the future looks like with Rosenior at the helm.
