According to Shams Charania of ESPN, the 24-year-old guard has purchased a minority ownership stake in his hometown MLB team, the Texas Rangers.
In 2024, Cunningham signed a five-year, $224 million maximum rookie extension with the Detroit Pistons that could potentially reach $269 million.
Cunningham is currently among the league's most promising young stars, leading his Pistons team to a 40–13 record in the Eastern Conference.
He is averaging 25.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 9.6 assists per game, and has also been selected to his second NBA All-Star Game.
