Hull City have warned supporters about engaging in discriminatory chanting during the club's FA Cup meeting with Premier League Chelsea on Friday night.

The promotion-chasing Tigers host Liam Rosenior's Blues in the fourth round in front of a sold-out MKM Stadium crowd and a watching television audience across the globe.

City, who beat Blackburn Rovers on penalties in round three, while Rosenior's first game in charge was the 5-1 win at Charlton Athletic to set up the meeting of the two clubs, say there will be a zero tolerance approach to anyone engaging in such behaviour.

"Ahead of Chelsea’s visit to the MKM Stadium on Friday evening, Hull City reaffirms our unwavering commitment to maintaining a safe, respectful and welcoming environment for all supporters," the East Yorkshire outfit said in a statement.

"Any chanting of a homophobic, racist or discriminatory nature is entirely unacceptable and will not be tolerated inside the MKM Stadium.

"Any supporter found engaging in such behaviour will face serious consequences, including immediate ejection from the stadium, the possibility of a banning order, and potential criminal prosecution.

"Hull City is proud to be a club for everyone. We urge all supporters to uphold the values that define our club. If you see or hear discriminatory behaviour of any nature, report it directly to the club by texting the word HULL, followed by details of the issue and where it occurred, to 60066, or by reporting to Kick It Out."
