**Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard believes Cole Palmer’s return to form could dramatically improve Chelsea’s chances of finishing high up the table.**
Speaking to _TNT Sports_, Gerrard said that the 23-year-old has the ability to transform the Blues’ prospects over the coming weeks and months:
“With Palmer back, that’s a massive concern for others. The type of player who doesn’t just score goals; he changes the entire gravity of the pitch. When he’s on it, Chelsea look like a completely different animal.”
Palmer scored and provided an assist during the 2-2 draw against Leeds on Tuesday night, although he did miss a sitter to clinch all three points in stoppage time.

The England international has been heavily involved in the club’s upturn in form following the appointment of Liam Rosenior.
