The Milwaukee Bucks continue to reap the dividends of their recent acquisition of Ousmane Dieng.
Dieng had quite a night on Thursday against his former team, the Oklahoma City Thunder, as he led the Bucks with 19 points on 7/12 shooting from the field with three 3-pointers, 11 rebounds and six assists. He also had four blocks in 36 minutes of action, as Milwaukee stunned the reigning NBA champions Thunder at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City.
Not many saw such an upset win by Milwaukee coming. Although the Thunder were without reigning NBA Most Valuable Player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the Bucks were undermanned as well, as they did not have their MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo in action.

Dieng, however, did a great Giannis impersonation with his stat line.

— Giannis
— Ousmane Dieng
Dieng has only played 3 games with Milwaukee.
Dieng did not have to do it all by himself. Milwaukee had seven other players scoring in double figures. AJ Green provided 17 points, while Kyle Kuzma and Kevin Porter chipped in 14 and 12 points, respectively. Bobby Portis had 15 points off the bench, while Cam Thomas added 12 more for Milwaukee’s backups.
The Bucks acquired Dieng from the Thunder via a three-team trade involving the Chicago Bulls as well before the deadline.
Dieng is proving himself to be a great addition to Milwaukee, as his size, length and range have been very useful for the team’s attack. Selected by the Thunder in the first round of the 2022 NBA Draft, he spent his first three-plus seasons in the league with Oklahoma City and won an NBA title with them in 2025.
