All the early injury news surrounding Arsenal and Wigan Athletic ahead of their FA Cup clash.

Arsenal turn their attention to the FA Cup this weekend when they take on League One club Wigan Athletic, hoping to stay alive in all competitions this season. The Gunners have already had a busy week after taking on Brentford on Thursday night, and they might rely on some rotation to get through Sunday’s cup game.

Wigan were also in mid-week action, but on Tuesday, losing to Reading to remain in the League One relegation zone. It’s fair to say the FA Cup shouldn’t be Wigan’s priority as they look to maintain their League One status, but that won’t stop them from wanting an upset here.

Here we round up all the latest injury news surrounding both sides.

Baba Adeeko - Out

Providing a recent update, Ryan Lowe said: “Baba is on the grass at the moment, so he and Luke Robinson are doing some running. I think Robbo is the next one in. Baba is still probably a month away, two months maybe, and Luke Robbo is probably a couple of weeks.”

Luke Robinson - Out

Robinson is included in the above update.

Harry McHugh - Out

Lowe has said: “Harry McHugh is not far away, but a little bit longer,” he added. “Other than that, they are all on track.”

Mikel Merino - Out

Merino is not going to miss the rest of the season after a foot fracture. Arteta said after the Spaniard’s surgery: “Well, I think the doctors were really happy the way it went. Yeah, now it starts. Obviously, it's a long process. You're talking about bone healing, so you need to be patient. You respect the timings, and I'm sure Mikel is going to do everything that he possibly can to speed up the process. We're talking about months, whether it's three, four or five, we don't know.”

Max Dowman - Out

Dowman is getting closer but won’t be ready for a couple of weeks. Arteta has said: “It will be a little bit more [longer] than Mosquera. He's growing, and we need to be very careful and a little more protective. He has a different schedule as well because he needs to go to school...But I think he's quite close. He's on the pitch now, he's doing well.” Dowman is expected back within two weeks or so.

Havertz has picked up a fresh muscular injury and it set to miss the next three games.
