chelsea fcFormer Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling has joined Feyenoord for the rest of the season.
Sterling is a free agent after his contract with Chelsea was terminated by mutual consent at the end of last month, after a campaign which had seen him demoted to become part of the ‘bomb squad’ at Stamford Bridge, made to train away from the rest of the first-team.
He had previously spent the 2024-2025 season on loan at Arsenal, where he struggled to make any impact.
The 31-year old had been in discussions with multiple clubs, both in England and abroad, about his next move, but has opted for Feyenoord, who are second in the Eredivisie, and who are now managed by the former Arsenal and Manchester United striker Robin van Persie. He has personally convinced Sterling that Rotterdam is the right place for a fresh challenge, and that he will play regularly, something he has not done for several years.
