Arsenal and Manchester City are now separated by only four points.

City have closed in over recent weeks, and while momentum has swung from one way to another, the steady form of Pep Guardiola’s men over recent weeks and months as kept them on Arsenal’s coat tails throughout.

This week’s fixtures will have City feeling as though they have real hope again, and four points is certainly erodable, especially with so many games remaining. Both teams still have 12 games to play, while City and Arsenal still have to play each other, first in the Carabao Cup final, and then in the Premier League in what could be a title decided of sorts on April 18.

Before then. bothj teams have important tests to pass, and it will be interesting to see how the Premier League table looks by the time the two sides face off. Here we take a look at each of the two teams’ next five games to see who has the advantage over the coming weeks.

Arsenal’s next five fixtures

Arsenal’s next five Premier League games are:

Wolves (A)

Tottenham (A)

Chelsea (H)

Brighton (A)

Everton (H)

Arsenal have a tough upcoming run of fixtures, even if that first game against Wolves is effectively a gimme. Tottenham have been in poor form, but derbies are always different, and Spurs could yet have a new manager for that one.

Chelsea is undoubtedly a tough game, and both Brighton and Everton are tough nuts to crack, especially with the latter coming right before the Carabao Cup final, which is a mental factor for players.

Man City’s next five fixtures

Man City’s next five Premier League games are:

Newcastle United (H)

Leeds United (A)

Nottingham Forest (H)

West Ham (A)

Chelsea (H)

City also have some tough games, next facing a still desperate Newcastle side and a tough-to-beat Leeds side, though they should be confident of beating the Whites. The same goes of Nottingham Forest and West Ham,, who are both fighting relegation.

The clash with Chelsea is a tough one, but notably, that comes after the Carabao Cup final, with City playing one less game than the Gunners before the final.
