REPORT: Arsenal 'Leading' Liverpool To Sign £52m Ex-Chelsea Star To Replace Gabriel Martinelli

Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli could leave in the summer as he will have just one year left on his contract.

The Gunners didn’t make any signings in the January transfer window, as Mikel Arteta is already very happy with his squad. They remain top of the Premier League table, and hopeful to secure the league title over rivals Man City.

Arteta will have some big decisions to make in the summer, with the likes of Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard both having just one year left on their contracts at the Emirates.

Trossard has been a key player this season, and so despite the fact Trossard is over 30, Arsenal could opt to keep him, and sell Martinelli, who has more transfer value due to being 24. If they do sell the Brazilian winger, they’ll need to find a replacement.

Arsenal ‘lead the race’ for ex-Chelsea star Pulisic

According to reports in Spain, one of the left-wingers that Arsenal could opt to go after to replace Martinelli, is former Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic, who is currently at Serie A side AC Milan.

Spanish outlet Fichajes report that Arsenal and Liverpool are both keen on the US international, and could make a move in the summer, amid growing feelings that he won’t extend his contract at AC Milan beyond his current deal; It expires in June 2027.

Pulisic has an estimated market value of around £52m, and it is no surprise, as the 27-year-old has been excellent in Serie A. This season, he’s made 20 appearances for AC Milan, scoring 10 goals, and providing two assists.

Pulisic has Premier League experience

Arsenal have been linked to other high-profile wingers such as Nico Williams and Rodrygo, who you could argue are both more talented than Pulisic, but the AC Milan star has proven Premier League experience.

Pulisic spent four years with rivals Chelsea, making 145 appearances for the Blues, scoring 26 goals, and providing 21 assists.
