Pedro Neto’s Stance On Chelsea Future Revealed Amid Reports He Could Be Set For£70M Summer Exit

Chelsea winger Pedro Neto is “very happy with life at Stamford Bridge”, according to reports.

There have been rumours linking the Portuguese international with a £70m move to Atletico Madrid at the end of the season.

However, TEAMtalk claim that Neto won’t be going anywhere this summer if the player has a choice in the matter.

Both the former Wolves forward and his partner like living in London, and moving teams is not at the forefront of their minds.

Chelsea’s stance on the winger’s future

It is believed that the Blues are also not looking to sell Neto at this moment in time, but we have seen their stance on players change at the drop of a hat in recent years.

With Geovany Quenda arriving from Sporting Lisbon in July, head coach Liam Rosenior will soon have three left-footed right-wingers in the first team squad – including Estevao.

That is too many, and Neto would be the favourite of the three to be let go, especially if a sizeable bid is made for him during the summer transfer window. While no decision has been made yet, it is definitely a situation to keep a close eye on.

Neto’s form this season has been erratic

The 25-year-old’s position in the squad would be more secure if he were deemed an integral member of the first team, but his performances do not justify that tag.

Neto has put in some great displays, and his numbers (7 goals and 4 assists) are by no means terrible. However, he has 1 goal and 0 assists in his last 14 matches, and he can be extremely inconsistent.

Taking into account Estevao’s outstanding potential and Quenda’s impending arrival, Neto’s future is rather uncertain, regardless of his own feelings on the situation.
