The NFL has transitioned to the offseason phase, and teams have tough roster decisions to make. Shortly after it was reported that the Cardinals are shopping quarterback Kyler Murray, another decision on another quarterback is nearing.
Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has previously expressed interest in moving on. The decision regarding his future is reportedly coming soon.

Miami general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan and head coach Jeff Hafley attended a fan event Thursday night. Among the topics they were asked about, the quarterback was obviously a hot topic.

“Of course, we’ll be looking at other quarterbacks in this draft,” Sullivan told fans. “I don’t know what the future holds right now, and I told Tua that. We’re working through some things.”

Sullivan did indicate they intend on, at minimum, adding competition to the quarterback room. That decision may not be that far away, however.

“We’re getting close to a decision,” Sullivan told fans. “When we do, we’ll let Tua know.”

Hafley didn’t have anything to add regarding Sullivan’s comments surrounding the quarterback position or Tagovailoa. It feels almost certain, however, that Tua Time in Miami is coming to a close.
If there was a hope for Tua staying, it could have been made clear right then, and there he was their signal caller. Instead, Tagovailoa was given anything but a vote of confidence.
Perhaps this is what is best for Tua and the Dolphins. Whether he is traded or released appears to be on the horizon.
