Two Seattle Seahawks assistant coaches are reportedly candidates for coordinator jobs with other teams.

Report: Seahawks interviewing 4 in-house candidates for OC

Wide receivers coach Frisman Jackson will be interviewed by Klint Kubiak’s Las Vegas Raiders for their offensive coordinator position, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Defensive passing game coordinator and defensive backs coach Karl Scott has been interviewed by the Arizona Cardinals for their defensive coordinator job, per CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz.

Jackson has spent the past two seasons as the Seahawks’ wide receivers coach, including last season under new Raiders coach Kubiak while he was offensive coordinator for the Seahawks. Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s breakout 2024 season and rise to one of the NFL’s top receivers in 2025 have come under Jackson.

Jackson spent the two prior seasons (2022-23) serving the same role with the Pittsburgh Steelers, which followed a two-year stint with the Carolina Panthers where he was wide receivers coach in 2020 and the offensive passing game coordinator in 2021. Jackson’s first year as an NFL assistant was in 2017 with the Tennessee Titans. He also has an extensive history as a college coach, most recently spending two years at Baylor as the wide receivers coach in 2018 and offensive passing game coordinator in 2019.

Scott is one of the few holdovers from Pete Carroll’s time as head coach of the Seahawks. He has been the team’s defensive passing game coordinator and defensive backs coach since 2022. Seattle has had four defensive backs combine for six Pro Bowl selections under Scott, including Devon Witherspoon’s three.

Scott was the Minnesota Vikings’ defensive backs coach in 2021, his first year as an NFL coach. He also coached for several years at the college level, including as Alabama’s cornerbacks coach from 2018-20.
