Parker Kingston is a wide receiver who plays for the BYU Cougars college football program. He is considered a very good football player who has the potential to make it big in the NFL sometime in the future.
He has had quite a season with the team, helping them get an overall 12-2 record and were tied for first position in the Big 12 standings. However, it looks like he has embroiled himself in some trouble that threatens to end his career early.
Parker Kingston arrested for rape
Kingston was arrested on February 11 in Provo, Utah and has been charged with first-degree felony rape. It stems from an alleged sexual assault on an unnamed woman at her home in St. George, Utah on February 23, 2025. He is currently being held in Washington County Jail without bail and will make his first court appearance on Friday in Utah’s Fifth Judicial District Court.

The victim, who was 20-years-old at the time had reported the crime four days after the incident at St. George Regional Hospital. In a forensic interview with detectives, she informed them that she had repeatedly told the player via online messages not to come to her house if he wanted to engage in sexual activities.
Prosecutors allege that he still went to her home. The woman said they first watched a movie and engaged in some sexual activity. She left the room as Kingston began to doze off but was raped when she returned. The victim claims she tried to push him off and repeatedly told him to stop.
The nearly year-long investigation saw much evidence gathered which warranted the arrest. Kingston has not denied meeting the woman, instead insisting that everything was consensual. He was the program’s leading receiver in 2025, hauling in 66 passes for 924 yards and five touchdowns. He is the second high-profile BYU football player to be accused of rape in the last year after former quarterback Jake Retzlaff. Many fans are disappointed with the player and have attacked him online.
