As questions swirl about whether**Travis Kelce** will return for another NFL season, his biggest supporter is making one thing clear: the decision is entirely his.
Travis's mom Donna Kelce was asked by TMZ this week how she feels about her 36-year-old son potentially retiring after 13 seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs. Rather than pushing him in one direction, she offered simple, motherly advice.
"I just want him to do what he feels comfortable doing," the 73-year-old told the outlet in a video released on Friday, February 13. "He's gotta talk to people in his life to decide what he wants to do." She added, "So I'm not sure. We'll see what happens!"
Retirement rumors have followed Kelce for months. The tight end signed a two-year extension in 2024 that runs through March 2026, but speculation intensified as the 2025–2026 season unfolded. Kelce was candid about feeling frustrated with his performance, quarterback**Patrick Mahomes** suffered a season-ending injury, and the Chiefs missed the playoffs for the first time in a decade-a tough pill to swallow for the team and fans alike.

The Chiefs organization has publicly backed whatever choice he makes. Chairman and CEO Clark Hunt shared on NFL Network's Good Morning Football, "Well as an organization, we certainly hope that he will come back."
"He had another great year, maybe not on par with where he was four or five years ago, but still had over 800 yards, and was really one of the leaders on the offensive side of the ball for us. So there's no doubt in my mind that he can still play," Hunt continued.
And while football may be up in the air, one thing Mama Kelce is not doing is spilling any personal tea. During the same chat with TMZ, she was asked whether she had to sign an NDA about Travis' upcoming wedding to Taylor Swift. "They know I can keep a secret," Donna said with a smile. The couple, who got engaged on August 26, 2025, have kept wedding details tightly under wraps-and it sounds like Donna plans to keep it that way.
