Dr. Miriam Adelson, Mark Davis to be inducted into Nevada Business Hall of Fame

Businesswoman and philanthropist Dr. Miriam Adelson and Las Vegas Raiders and Las Vegas Aces owner Mark Davis will be inducted into the Nevada Business Hall of Fame.

Sponsored by UNLV’s Lee Business School, the Nevada Business Hall of Fame celebrates outstanding individuals who have shaped Nevada’s economic landscape and enriched its communities.

Adelson and her family control many companies, including Las Vegas Sands Corp. and the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks. She is the largest shareholder in Las Vegas Sands, which operates the top casino resorts in Macao and Singapore. She also is publisher of Israel Hayom, a free Hebrew-language newspaper based in Tel Aviv. With her family, she owns the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

She operates the Adelson Family Foundation and is medical doctor who once served as the chief internist in an emergency room at Tel Aviv’s Rokach (Hadassah) Hospital.

Davis orchestrated the NFL team’s move to Las Vegas from Oakland, California, partnering with Adelson’s late husband, then-Sands Chairman and CEO Sheldon Adelson, to fund what is now Allegiant Stadium. The team began playing in Las Vegas in 2020.

In 2021, Davis purchased the Las Vegas Aces from MGM Resorts International. The team has won three WNBA titles since.

In addition to Adelson and Davis, the Business Hall of Fame plans a special Lieder Award presentation to Alan Molasky, a partner with The Molasky Group of Companies. Molasky has managed Pacific Properties and Development Corporation, Pacific Homes, Ovation Property Management and Winterwood Land Development Corporation.

A date for an induction ceremony wasn’t announced on the Lee Business School’s website.

Organizers say each inductee embodies the essence of Nevada’s entrepreneurial spirit, demonstrating innovation, resilience, unwavering dedication and an impact that resonates beyond their industries.

In 2025, the Lee Business School honored boxing promoter Bob Arum and Las Vegas philanthropist Elaine Wynn. Past inductees include Caesars Entertainment Corp. board member and former Las Vegas Mayor Jan Jones Blackhurst, Vegas Golden Knights owner Bill Foley and MGM Resorts International CEO Bill Hornbuckle.
