Travis Kelce’s NFL future was, for a brief period, one of the most popular topics in the NFL last year. Coming off a painful loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 59, Kelce pondered his options for the future. In the end, he ran it back with the Kansas City Chiefs.

After missing the playoffs for the first time since 2014, the Chiefs enter the 2026 offseason with several questions to answer. They brought back Eric Bieniemy as offensive coordinator, and Patrick Mahomes seems hopeful about being ready for Week 1.
However, Kelce’s future remains a major question mark around the league. During a conversation with TMZ, Donna Kelce spoke about her son’s future. She made it clear she doesn’t want to put pressure on the three-time Super Bowl champion.
“You know, I just want him to do what he feels comfortable doing,” Donna said outside LAX. “He’s gotta talk to people in his life to decide what he wants to do.”

Travis Kelce reacts as the Chiefs won’t play at Arrowhead Stadium from 2031
The new decade will bring major changes for the Kansas City Chiefs. With Travis Kelce out for the 2031 NFL season, the Chiefs will play in a new stadium in Kansas. During Wednesday’s episode of “New Heights,” Kelce offered his thoughts on the team playing in a different stadium.
“The owners get so much more opportunity [by] getting to the outskirts of the city, and it’s hard to argue with those opportunities,” he said. “We’re dealing with it right now in Kansas City.”
“We’re going over to Kansas, but at the same time, if you look at that deal in terms of an owner? That’s one of the greatest opportunities you could ever get as an owner,” he continued. “I think it’s going to be unbelievable once it’s finally set in stone.”
The Chiefs played at Arrowhead Stadium since 1972. They will be in a completely different place in six years. Kelce might be there as a Hall of Famer, depending on when he calls it a career.
