Alan Shearer sums up what is wrong with Alejandro Garnacho at Chelsea

Alan Shearer knows what he’s talking about when it comes to Football, and the problem he spotted with Alejandro Garnacho is a common theme at Chelsea.

It was a rather back-and-forth first half at the MKM stadium. Hull City looked dangerous at times, whilst Chelsea squandered several chances to score. Despite Pedro Neto opening the scoring.

Mamadou Sarr was given his debut after returning on loan from Strasbourg, and he looked fairly solid.

The same can’t be said for Liam Delap, who had a half to forget after returning to face on of his former clubs, as he looked lazy in possession and should have scored at least two.

His reception was a positive one, but the same cannot be said about Alejandro Garnacho.

CONFIRMED XI to face Hull!

Thoughts, Blues?

Alan Shearer didn’t like Garnacho’s behaviour

Speaking on the BBC One live commentary, Alan Shearer wasn’t too impressed with how easily Alejandro Garnacho went down from a cross in the first half.

“I’d love to be wrong, but I think if he shows more desire and strength, he gets on the end of that, rather than looking for a penalty, which it wasn’t.”

Joe Cole has a strong belief in Garnacho, but the common theme is needing to really get in his ear and almost put him in his place, as he has all the talent but the application just isn’t there at times.

That’s the most frustrating part. If he focused on his own game he could be world-class.

Garnacho is the most unfairly criticised player at Chelsea 🤜🤛
