Hull City's FA Cup campaign is over for another year after being beaten 4-0 by Chelsea at the MKM Stadium, with Pedro Neto scoring a fine hat-trick

City gave a good account of themselves in the first period, but found themselves a goal down at the break after Neto's clever strike in the bottom corner from just outside the box five minutes before the interval.

Any hope the Tigers had of getting back into the game were ended at the start of the second half wne Neto squeezed in a corner at the near post, closely followed by one for Estevao, after a rampaging run from ex-Tigers man Liam Delap. Neto completed his hat-trick with a cultured finish from Delap's lay-off.

Here's how Tigers reporter Barry Cooper rated the players at the MKM Stadium against the Blues on Friday evening....

Dillon Phillips: Made his return to the starting XI and made a fine save early on to deny Garnacho. Got lucky with Delap's big chance, rescued it well. Always looked iffy with his distribution. Beaten well by Neto for the first and nutmegged badly for the second. A tough, tough night. 4/10

Ryan Giles: Started well, and forced a good save from Sanchez with a fierce free-kick. Tried to fire in the Chelsea box, but missed McBurnie. 6/10

Paddy McNair: A decent enough first half from the Northern Irishman but will be frustrated about the manner of the goals in the second period. 5/10

John Egan: Not the easiest first half given the movement of the visitors. Just couldn't get out quick enough to stop Neto. Far too exposed at times in the second. 5/10

Lewie Coyle: Dealt well with Garnacho for the most part in the first period, aside from one moment where he got in behind. 5/10

Regan Slater: Superb piece of play to get his side away which ended up in Koumas going close. Never stopped all night, and was City's best player. 6.5/10

Amir Hadziahmetovic: Neat and tidy in the first period. Won it well and shifted it when he could. Stuck to his task well, against a world class midfield. 5/10

Cathal McCarthy: A big night for the youngster and he slotted in well. Gave a good account of himself. Battled hard all night. 6/10

Liam Millar: Rescued a poor ball to set up Koumas for a good chance, but all too often, the final bit of quality let him down when it mattered. 5/10

Yu Hirakawa: Always willing to try and get his side up the pitch. Had a couple of nearly moments. 5/10

Lewis Koumas: A first start for the Liverpool loanee and had half a chance inside two minutes that he probably should have done better with. Hit the post in added time. 5/10

Subs:

John Lundstram (for Amir 63): Booked shortly after coming off the bench. Important to get him more minutes because he'll be needed. 5/10

Joe Gelhardt (for Millar 63): City's night summed up by Joff being caught offside immediately after coming on. Carved out a good chance late on. 5/10

Kyle Joseph (for Hirakawa 75): A tough game to come into with it already lost. 5/10

Cody Drameh (for Coyle 75): A valuable cameo in what was his first appearance of the calendar year after injury. 5/10

Kieran Dowell (for McCarthy 80): Like the rest, a tough gig coming on at that stage. 5/10
