Mat Ishbia shows off athleticism at NBA All-Star celebrity game

Phoenix Suns owner Mat Ishbia showed some defensive intensity and tossed dimes at the NBA All-Star celebrity game.

The Suns’ owner collected an assist in the first quarter on a pass to Canadian Olympic sprinter Andre de Grasse and almost created a highlight layup for the former Michigan State guard later in the half.

Ishbia drove to the hoop and made a behind-the-back pass to the Olympic sprinter, who couldn’t quite finish the play.

Then, the Suns’ owner took a page out of Phoenix’s defensive playbook this season by grabbing a steal.

Tacko Fall, the 7-foot-6 former NBA player, grabbed a rebound off a missed 3-pointer, and Ishbia came flying in for the steal.

He wasn’t done yet, though.

Ishbia scored his first points in third quarter. He split a defender and a mascot and pulled up from about the free-throw line to sink his first bucket over Fall.

Ishbia was one of 11 celebrities part of Team Anderson, which faced 11 more celebrities on Team Antetokounmpo in the NBA All-Star celebrity game.
