The performance itself has been described as a "performance of hope", even marrying a couple on stage which unsurprisingly is a Super Bowl first.

The performer handed his recently won Grammy to Lincoln Fox a five-year-old boy to signify a symbol of hope, many thought it was the child who was detained by ICE in Minneapolis a few weeks ago.

Overall the mass reaction to the performance was overwhelmingly positive with many celebrities coming out in massive support of the Latin singer.
