Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea transfer news that you may have missed over the past 24 hours…
Barcelona star Ronald Araujo has opened up and claimed that Chelsea transfer target Julian Alvarez is a player that is destined to make the move to the Camo Nou, amid all the speculation regarding the future of the Atletico Madrid star.
CHELSEA would have to pay a big fee if they were to lure Julian Alvarez back to the Premier League, that is according to ex-Everton and Aston Villa chief executive Keith Wyness, amid the many reports that Chelsea are still keen on a transfer deal.
Over the past few weeks, it is no secret that have been heavily linked with a move for Julian Alvarez ever since news broke that Spanish giants Atletico Madrid would be open to letting the little striker leave the club during the summer transfer window.
But now, According to TEAMtalk and journalist Graeme Bailey, Chelsea are already ‘holding talks’ with Alvarez about a move and the Blues are also ‘ready to move quickly’ for the player, if given real encouragement that his preferred move to Barcelona could be off the cards.
Barcelona captain Araujo is among Alvarez’s many admirers and insists the best players like the Argentine ‘belong’ at the club: ‘He’s a great player; for me, he’s one of the best strikers in the world. You can see the quality he has,’ Araujo told Mundo Deportivo
‘The best players belong at the best club, which is us. That’s obvious. But it’s not my job to do that or make that decision.’

There is many months left until the summer window, there will continue to be alot of transfer talk about Alvarez coming back to the Premier League, but all we know is that he would be a brilliant signing for us and we are hoping that CHELSEA are able to get some sort of transfer deal done.
He could be a real statement signing that is for sure.
BRENO BIDON TOLD TO MAKE BIG MOVE
Memphis Depay has hailed Corinthians team-mate Breno Bidon as a ‘special’ talent and claims the CHELSEA transfer target ‘needs to leave’ Brazilian football in order to fulfil his ‘enormous potential’.
The 20-year-old central midfielder also enjoyed success at international level in early 2025 when he helped Brazil win the South American Under-20 Championship for a record 13th time.
According to a recent report from ESPN Brasil, Corinthians would be prepared to negotiate a transfer deal for Bidon should they receive an offer in the region of R$150million (£20.8m) for their prized possession, and now Depay has had his say on the talented star.
According to the Netherlands international, Bidon needs to leave Brazilian football to reach his full potential: ‘I talk to him a lot, he’s very intelligent,’ Memphis told SporTV in Brazil.
‘He has great potential. He’s young, but very talented. He works hard, is focused, and has a strong mentality. He’s a special player, he needs to leave Brazil, not now, but soon. He also needs to be called up to the Brazilian national team.
‘He has enormous potential, he’s very good.’
Corinthians are in no hurry to cash in on Bidon at this stage, though, and facing the media last month, head coach Dorival Junior was keen to stress how ‘important’ the midfielder was in his plans.
‘He’s a very important player and if I’m being honest with you, I wouldn’t like to lose any player,’ he told reporters.
‘We need to find balance so we can have a strong squad throughout the year. That is our biggest challenge.’
MBEUMO MESSAGE SENT
Gary Neville has opened up and claimed that Chelsea should have completed the signing of Manchester United striker Bryan Mbeumo in the summer window, rather than signing Joao Pedro.
CHELSEA sanctioned another stunning spending spree, bringing the likes of Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens, Alejandro Garnacho and Estevao Willian to Stamford Bridge, but at times this season, those players have been unable to shine ike many had hoped for.
Arguably the best summer addition for Manchester United was Mbeumo, who has scored ten goals so far this season following a £65m move from Brentford, and Neville has been impressed with ‘good and solid signing’ Mbeumo.
Neville has also been impressed by Pedro but believes Mbeumo would have been a better signing for Chelsea and says United’s £65m star would have been ‘a sensation’ at Arsenal.
Assessing Manchester United’s deal for Mbeumo on the Stick to Football podcast, Neville said: ‘If you look at it now, Mbeumo would probably have been better for Chelsea and Arsenal than the players they got.
‘I think Joao Pedro had done quite well but Mbeumo… I mean, he would have been a sensation for Arsenal wouldn’t he?
‘He’s a good signing for Manchester United, a really solid signing. I like him a lot.’
IcChelseanews Says…
Pedro has started coming good this season and is looking like a player that is starting to get settled, so we are sure that he will end up scoring more goals that what Mbeumo would if he was signed by CHELSEA.
If’s and buts dont mean anything as Mbeumo is at Man United and Pedro is at Chelsea, and to be honest, we are happy with how things turned out last summer as some players have made impacts.
